Holdrege Area Public Library Issues Request for Proposals for New Library Project
[Holdrege, NE] – Holdrege Area Public Library is excited to announce the release of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for architectural firms interested in designing a new 21st-century library facility. This project aims to create a dynamic, accessible, and innovative space that will serve as a vital resource for the community for generations to come.
To provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the project, onsite tours and a project overview will be held on Friday, April 11 and Friday, April 18 at the current library location (604 East Ave., Holdrege). This will allow firms to learn more about the vision for the new library and ask preliminary questions before submitting their proposals.
"Our goal is to build a library that not only meets the needs of our community today but also provides a flexible and inspiring space for the future," said Sierra Burrows, Library Director. "We are seeking an architectural partner who shares our commitment to literacy, education, and community engagement."
The scope of work for the selected architectural firm will include conceptual design, site analysis, engineering services, and project management, ensuring that the new facility aligns with modern library standards while maintaining sustainability and efficiency.
Submission Details:
Onsite Tour & Overview: Friday, April 11 and Friday, April 18 (will be scheduled individually)
Proposal Submission Deadline: April 30, 2025 by 8pm Central time.
Evaluation Criteria: Experience with library and community-centered projects, design approach, stakeholder engagement strategy, and cost-effectiveness
